Ski Hill Volunteer Work Day 2024

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 10am - 4pm.

Come up for a couple of hours or stay all day.


Objective: Prepare Ski Hill for Winter Operations and the ability to open Tubing, Nordic and Alpine operations on a minimal amount of snow.
 

A free lunch will be served to all volunteers! 
  (did someone say Yodelin?? Bosket Bread!? and your Lodge favorites!)

Task List

Base Area & Slopes

• Brush, lop and weed-eat the island behind the Little Tow
• Brush and clean ½ culvert behind the Little Tow
• Pile limbs and brush to be chipped
• Weed-Eat / Buzz a 10’ radius around all buildings
• Weed-Eat / Buzz a 10’ radius around the well-head across from Big Tow
• Weed-Eat / Buzz the Tubing Hill and berms
• Remove any objects that could damage mowing or grooming equipment
• Pick-up trash
• Mow

Lodge

• Clean Lodge concession area, restrooms, common areas & storage areas
• Wash windows
• Close, seal and block all voids in foundation, siding and doors
• Kick the rodents out (yes, even the squirrel)

Ski Jump

• Mow and weed-eat the jump hill
• Weed-eat the ski jump tow path and judges stand

Nordic Trails

• Remove overhead branches
• Remove brush from around trail lights
• Remove debris from trails
• Mow

Parking Lot

• Mow and weed-eat around rocks and light poles, including the outer perimeter
