At LWSC, we believe that winter sports should be open to everyone in our community. Sometimes, the cost of passes can make it hard to get involved — and that’s where the Sponsor a Skier program comes in.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have funding available to help skiers who need financial support. Whether it’s your first time trying skiing, or you’re returning and just need a little extra help, this program is here for you.
How It Works
Funding comes directly from donations made by community members who want to share the joy of winter sports.
Support may be used toward team memberships, season passes, or other LWSC programs.
Applications are open to anyone in our community who needs help — the only “requirement” is that support will make it possible for you (or your child) to participate.
Timing
Applications are reviewed in late November, and funding will be awarded shortly after so that skiers can join the season right from the start.

Individuals and businesses can sponsor a skier to share winter recreation with others. Suggested donation is $175 which covers a membership for one person.
Who can apply?

When will I hear back?
Decisions are shared shortly after the review process in late November so that skiers can start the season right away.

Do I need to reapply every year?
Yes, funding is awarded on a seasonal basis. If you’d like to receive support again next year, you’ll need to submit a new application.
