Welcome to week 2 of LWSC Alpine Ski Team. What an awesome night of POW skiing at Ski Hill. Who would have ever thought?
We were finally able to set some brushes tonight so that the racers could go through a course. A few awesome coaches and racers also packed down the ski jump and it's looking pretty amazing. Thank you to all of our great volunteers who have helped the coaches by rallying skiers at the big tow and keeping to keep the line moving and lower the tow for some of our vertically challenged skiers out there. We couldn't do it without you!
Some news and updates from last week that are important and time sensitive are below.
Race Scholarships
Thanks to some help from parent volunteers and racers this past fall, we've been able to raise some money for our team. Our fundraisers consisted of selling parking spaces during Christmas tree lighting, benevolent nights and more. As a result, we have some money to support first time racers on their very first race experience. If you and your racer are interested in trying out a race, contact Coach Meg and she will go through the details.

New Announcements
Practice timing is changing starting this Friday. Our new timing will be 5:30 - 7:30 pm on both Wednesdays and Fridays to accommodate work schedules. Please have all skiers meet at the big tow by 5:30pm. They can gather by their assigned age group sign so that we can assess attendance.
